High level EU delegation visits Gwadar

A high level delegation of European Union visited Gwadar on Monday during which the visiting dignitaries were take on a tour of the city and briefed on the development works taking place.

The members of the EU delegation included ambassadors of Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands and Denmark. The High Commissioner of Canada and Ambassador of Pakistan to the European Union also accompanied the delegation.

Gwadar Port Authority, GDA officials and Chairman of China Company briefed the delegation about the development works of the port and Gwadar. The members of the delegation also planted saplings in the premises of Gwadar Port.

The speed and efficacy of major infrastructure developments under CPEC is drawing the attention of EU states who will invariably look to benefit from the advanced trade and maritime route taking shape in the city of Gwadar, providing them with fast and cost effective access to and from all of Asia.
